Sight Beyond the Surface

… But a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised.

(Proverbs 30:b)

What is the kind of woman who trusts In the LORD, whom God has set apart for His glory like?

How does one discern how extraordinary she is?

I know of one who has a gift, bestowed like hidden fire,

Whose love for Christ endures and burns, with sanctified desire.

Her heart is ever lifted up, and praise rings from her soul,

A mind submerged in Truth,

A voice that cures the cold.

It must be said for certain, her courage is immense,

In the face of adversity, she honors her defense.

The Word of God – she wields it, with skill that’s taken time,

A holy process and pursuit has bound her to the Vine.

Her spirit is tenacious,

His glory is her gain,

And in the faithfulness of God

Her values will remain.

Every rhyme above is true, but from it, I’ll refrain.

I won’t land this description

In a restricted frame.

The gift this woman has is given freely to the people in her life. Because of her passion for and closeness to Jesus, I and many others have experienced His hand being held out to us, revealing the intended power of pure friendship, tried and true.

It is through my friends consistent, yielding to the Holy Spirit that I have been helped and encouraged beyond what I may have ever hoped for, and I will be forever grateful that God has placed His daughter in my life and on this planet for such a time as this.

Indeed, we are at war, but we war not apart from the partnerships God provides for our strength, support, inspiration and consolation as He trains our hands and hearts to go, and render the darkness null and void with the power of the Gospel to the nations.

I praise God that this woman has said, “I will go. Send me.”

Psalm 46:5 God is within her, she shall not be moved; God shall help her, just at the break of dawn.

For Vondas – because you believe, you are an absolute asset to the Kingdom of God. You will speak life and He will save souls! As your faith is, so be it unto you, my mountain moving sister in Christ.

*And for any other woman who will not be bound by the comfort of this world: who refuses to conform to its imagery: who will count the cost and relentlessly live for the sake of God’s Kingdom and the glory of Christ Jesus our LORD, whose blood was shed for our salvation, to whom be all praise, for an eternity.  Amen.
