The Few

There is something unlike any other thing that occurs within the soul when the benefits of friendship are mutually experienced.  A peculiar strength of heart is obtained in fighting the good fight of faith alongside of another.  Sharing life in devotion to Christ with likeminded people seems to open a realm consisting of a mysteriously powerful substance, namely affection.

The release of the substance within the human heart compels a believer to Christlikeness in a most favorable way, increasing our capacity to see beyond the self with an incomparable motivation.

Ecc 4:9-12 Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor; 10 for if either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion. But woe to the one who falls when there is not another to lift him up! 11 Furthermore, if two lie down together they keep warm, but how can one be warm alone? 12 And if one can overpower him who is alone, two can resist him. A cord of three strands is not quickly torn apart.

I thank God for the power of true friendship in my life and pray that He will continue to develop me in the propensity to bring forth the energies of truly valuing others as Jesus does.

The gift of encouragement is often disregarded and so-

I acknowledge those whom have it today, for it has blessed my life like no other contribution through the few friends God gave me.

Thank You LORD for evidence of You through the few!

Truth beautifully expressed! Thank you! The verse that came to mind when reading was this: “But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.” 1 John 1:7
This type of fellowship is only possible through our union with Christ. It cannot be substituted or copied. It is one of the many benefits of being in Him! I thank God for my fellowship with you! 🙂
