What drives me?  When I wake, why do I get out of bed?

GOD.  The moment I awaken, His Spirit drops into the forefront of my conscious with immediacy, and I know without doubt that I am alive because He has permitted my existence with the gift of another day.  He gives me the energy necessary to rise and move and think and fail and pray and recover and read and write and work and worship.

Acts 17:24-28 The God who made the world and everything that is in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made by hands; 25 nor is He served by human hands, as though He needed anything, since He Himself gives to all people life and breath and all things; 26 and He made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined their appointed times and the boundaries of their habitation, 27 that they would seek God, if perhaps they might feel around for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; 28 for in Him we live and move and exist, as even some of your own poets have said, ‘For we also are His descendants.’

There is a spiritual war raging all around us.  Some are aware.  Many choose to ignore it, or worse— effectively participate with the adversary walking around with entitled badges of resentment and personal opinion as king of their thought process.  Nonetheless, Christ Jesus has come and made those of us who believe in Him ministers of reconciliation unto God.  Apart from Him we can do nothing. He is everything and His companionship is vital.  May I be purposed in Him to give and love and reveal His nature to the damaged creation of which He’s paid the most awful price to redeem.

Thank You LORD for the breath in my lungs and Your purposes planted in my heart.  Thank you for the people in my life who share the same awareness of You as King of all that was and is and is to come. You are God. You are good. I will worship You with my life today.

Prov 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart
And do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He will make your paths straight.

Rev 21:6b Then He said to me, “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end…

I don’t “like” this post, I super love it! There’s no button for that, however…lol It was pinging through my own spirit as I read it. In Romans chapters 11 and 12, it warns us to not be wise in our own opinions. I used to live that way 24/7 and even though I am being transformed by the renewing of my mind with the Word of God, I still have to challenge my thoughts and opinions and wait until I know something is the leading of the Lord before rushing headlong into something and get myself into trouble or birth an Ishmael or something.
